「あいにくですが~」「残念ながら」という副詞“Unfortunately”を使った英文
今回は「あいにくですが~」「残念ながら」を意味する、“Unfortunately”を使った表現をご紹介します。
Unfortunately, it’s supposed to rain tomorrow.
「あいにくですが、明日は雨が降る予定です。」
“Fortunately”は評価を表す副詞なので、こんな感じで“Unfortunately”を文頭に持ってくるだけです。
“it’s supposed to rain tomorrow.”の文全体を“Fortunately”とい副詞が説明しているという状態になります。

明日は雨が降るということに対して、あいにくですがという説明
思ったようにいかず、残念なとき全般に使えます。

「残念だけど、もう予定が入ってるの」
予約がいっぱいのときなどに、お店側がよく使うフレーズなので下記のように、“I'm sorry,”と組み合わせて使うことが多いですね。

「あいにくですが、今日は予約でいっぱいです。」
ただ、Unfortunately, がなくても、sorry自体が残念であるというニュアンスを含んでいるので、気持ちは伝わると思います。
